Onekaka, Golden Bay, South Island

Many years ago iron ore was mined in the hills behind the beach. This is all that remains of the old jetty that was used for loading the ore onto ships. Golden Bay and the Tasman district benefit from having the most hours of sunshine in New Zealand, so maybe it's not surprising that it's going to be another wonderful day.
