Lough Barra , Donegal

Lough Barra lies just to the east of the R254 approximately 5 miles north east of Doochary. The road continues on up through the pass that can be seen in the distance, between the Derryveagh and Glendowan Mountains, and offers views down Glenveagh to the castle. This shot involved a long wait, standing in the lough in my wellies until I was happy with the balance of light and shade on the distant hills. Fortunately, it was midsummer.
