I have been taking photographs since my early teens, when the old family Kodak bellows camera was passed down to me by my elder brother. I was still using a large format camera (an old Ross Ensign) when I moved on to using colour film instead of black and white and I have been taking landscape photographs ever since, although the old Ross Ensign did make way for a Canon 35mm.

While not having received any formal training in photography, I have acquired a thorough knowledge of the subject over the years. Having parents who were both artists didn’t do much for my painting skills but it did give me a good eye for both subject matter and composition.

As a photographer living in Donegal in the North West of Ireland, I have to admit to being spoilt for subject material; dramatic mountain and seascapes, wonderful light and amazing skies.

A few years after moving to Ireland I changed from 35mm to digital format photography. Although the majority of the images in this collection come from this later period in my photographic career, I am in the process of scanning a selection of the many photographs taken on film and these will be added to the Image Library in due course. These earlier works cover Europe, North and South America, Africa, The Middle East and Asia.

The following prices are for unframed prints which are rolled and posted in cardboard tubes:

Signed limited edition prints 19" wide: €120

Unsigned prints Large 19" wide: €50, Small 12” wide: €25
